Overview
Zanzibar’s beach holiday experience often begins in Stone Town, the island’s historic capital, known for its crumbling palaces, bathhouses, and mosques from the era of the Sultans. For a more secluded retreat, explore smaller islands accessible at certain tides, ideal for sailing and picnics, or stay on permanent islands like Mnemba and Chumbe for a more exclusive experience.
This 5-day itinerary is perfect for those seeking a relaxing beach holiday. You can stay at one hotel for the duration or, for longer stays, split your time between two properties to experience different areas of the island. This option is especially popular with honeymooners looking for a mix of luxury and affordability.
