Tented Safari
Luxury Tinted Camping
Camping safaris in Tanzania offer travelers a chance to sleep under the stars and listen to the sounds of wildlife in the wilderness. Imagine falling asleep to the roars of lions and the trumpeting of elephants while spending the night in a tent. If you’re curious about the safety of these tents or planning your first African safari, this article is for you!
Keep in mind that there are no fences, so animals may wander into the camp, sometimes even approaching your tent. For safety, an askari (watchman) will escort you to your tent after dark. If you need to leave your tent at night, a walkie-talkie or whistle will be provided. Families traveling with children should ensure that kids do not wander the campsite alone and are always supervised. The camp team will provide a safety briefing upon arrival. While serious incidents are rare, following basic safety instructions makes it safe to enjoy your stay in a tented camp or lodge.
